Flash ahhhhaaa

Yo

I just wanted to post my most recent and really first attempt at using adobe flash, which if i do say so myself is an awesome software, anyway we had a six hour introduction to flash in which we covered lip sync and other random stuff.

i will try and sort out the lack of sound on the second  clip, as soon as possible
Thanks for watching :)

Hey

here is my groups cinematography work, its a 2 minute silent film about a quirky female spies worst date.

Feedback from frankie, our awesome lecturer, was that the film was too long and should be shortened down, we cant use the pink panther music as its copyrighted, but otherwise its quite good however i would say that the scene cuts could be tweaked slightly to make it flow better.

Thanks for watching. :)

here is is the final film re edited with our feedback about it

So we just had our feedback from frankie and derek about our short film which as expected wasn't so great. but both the pre production, post production and actual film presented a great learning curve for all members of the group which will hopefully mean that all our future films represent our new knowledge especially the parts about planning every little detail rather than winging sections.

helllooooo is it me your looking for..........

Hey Bloggees

Sorry ive been a bad blogger, life as a animation student is pretty kray, and I now have quite a bit of work for you guys to see...

Drawing for Animation - My Sketchbook

Below is my three final pieces of concept art for Kathy's Kley projects, all though my final pieces are not entirely in the style of Henrich Kley, they follow his ideas of gigantic surroundings or gigantic people.

The above piece featuring George and Jayne among the clovers, is done i acrylic wash, sketching pencils, Black ink and colouring pencils and then digitally combined in Photoshop.
The second piece which features the playful pair catching a lift of the usual sized child was painted out first in the rough shape before adding on the outlines using Black ink and the last which features George and Jayne being plucked out of the wilderness was drawn and coloured in in pieces before digitally combining in Photoshop.

As well as using real life references around campus I have taken particular inspiration from Disney imagineerings concept art ( for Bugs land in California and honey i shrunk the kids playground in Florida) as well as early alice in wonderland concept art and various illustrations about the borrowers.

Storyboarding - Piratz Animatic

Here is my animatic, an animated storyboarding made up of the storyboard panels that i have already posted plus a few extras to help the flow.
The dialogue is from Captain zootroop and the lost pirates treasure but my adaption is Cap'n Zoetrope and the lost PiRatz treasure, featuring a cast consisting of Pi- RATS.
As i wanted my animatic to be a childs comedy i have used exagerated stereotypical hornpipe music by Bob Monroe and overly exagerated and perhaps melodramatic voice actors.

Animation Practice - Showreel

Here is my first ever showreel eee, exciting, the music featured in it is Atom by Swedish House Mafia, which is my flatties and I Raindance song, a move that Morpheous is seen doing in one of his poses, Both his and Eleven 's rig is from the 11 second club.

The lip sync featured at the beginning of the showreel is taken from DieHard and although mine does not quite fit for the whole piece it starts of very well, but deteriorates towards the end of the piece, however i'm quite proud of the rest of the showreel, as i think it charts my progress through Maya and 2d animation very well.

Below is the dope sheet and referencing for my Lip sync project, as well as using various recording clips of my flatmates acting out the clips, i also used the old fashioned method of watching my lips move in a mirror and referencing from that.

Thanks for watching :)
